With 55 exhibitors in total, the Fleet Europe village at this year’s Fleet Europe Summit offered participants the opportunity to connect with providers and professionals from the corporate fleet management and mobility industries.
For the first time, this year’s edition contained a Smart Mobility Area where a series of start-ups presented and introduced their companies whilst exchanging views on the specific challenges such start-ups aim to solve. Visitors had the chance to meet some key figures in the evolving mobility market. It was an opportunity to evaluate and discuss real data obtained from practical solutions in the field of new corporate transportation with the aim of preparing professionals for the challenges of tomorrow.
Gerard Martret, co-founder and CCO at Shotl explained what Shotl currently does for enterprises and business parks and presented the latest results of one successful deployment in Vallirana (Barcelona). The 20-minute showcase provided a vision of how autonomous vehicles, shared mobility, and Mobility as a Service (MaaS) could impact corporate fleet management.
During the presentation, Martret revealed how corporate fleet management will soon evolve into a multimodal system of connected transportation modes. There is currently a demand for these new solutions and this is before advanced wide-scale autonomous systems have been put in place. Such combined solutions are already a part of daily life in major cities where ride-hailing apps, shared cars or electric scooters have found an emerging market of early adopters.
The Fleet Europe Summit is a great opportunity for fleet and mobility managers who want to keep their finger on the pulse of the latest advancements within the corporate fleet management sector.
Other presenters at this year’s edition were Octavian Chelu (Principal Consultant, Frost & Sullivan), Andrea Renna (CEO, Skedgo), Vipin Moharir (CEO, NINTec), Kenneth Malmberg (Director of Alliances, Ridecell), and Edwin Colella (VP Mobility Sales and Marketing, Omoove).
