Shotl Receive Mobility City Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2019

We are excited to announce that Shotl have received the Mobility City Entrepreneur of the Year award. On Tuesday 26th of November, we were in central Madrid, at the prestigious Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos (College of Architects), where we accepted the award in person.

The Mobility City initiative is lead by Spanish philanthropic and social institution Fundación Ibercaja along with the Área Territorial de Madrid and consultancy firm Grant Thornton. The initiative aims to place future mobility at the highest level of importance in future planning and development policies by highlighting and celebrating the work of innovators.

The award was presented to us in recognition of both past and ongoing Shotl deployments which have helped to provide cities and public transport operators with “a more flexible and efficient urban mobility service”. The judging panel highlighted two key objectives which Shotl technology falls in line with, namely, Objective 10: Reducing inequality within communities, and Objective 11: Achieving a sense of inclusivity, safety, resilience, and sustainability.

Here at Shotl, we actively aim to tackle the issues set out in the aforementioned “objectives” so we are very proud to receive this year’s award in light of such official acknowledgments.
